Meet Adam: Technology Implementation Manager

This month, we’d like you to meet Adam James. Adam is our Technology Implementation Manager here at Focus HR —which means he helps clients leverage the offerings on our digital platform, making it easier to manage their teams and recruit new employees.

Adam is one of the most genuine and kind people you will ever meet. Honestly, the guy does not have a mean bone in him! He is proactive and hardworking and always goes above and beyond for our clients. We are lucky to have him on our team.

We recently asked Adam a few questions to get to know him better. Let’s dig in!

Q. Tell us a little bit about yourself.

A. Born and raised in Tucson (Bear Down!) with a love for the desert sun, but a travel nut at heart. I’ve ventured to a few places but always a few more on my list to check off.

Q. What does a typical day at Focus HR look like for you?

A. I connect with new and existing clients to help solve a need. From demoing our payroll platform with a new client to reconfiguring a PTO plan for an existing client, I do my personal best to deliver with charm and results to keep a happy client at the end of the day.

Q. What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?

A. Exploring a beach or café off the beaten path

Q. What has been your favourite project to work on at Focus HR?

A. Building onboarding and benefit enrollment workflows to provide a more convenient way for clients to onboard new hires and for employees to submit benefit elections online

Q. On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me…

A. Enjoying a scrumptious bagel sandwich with my partner in crime.

Q. What makes you unique in your profession?

A. I like to think I have a way of connecting with people to solve a problem. Let’s call it “empathy” for lack of a better word. It’s not just about the transaction I execute, it’s the relationship that leaves the lasting impression.
